Build Sheets

Now back in the day. Sound like I am ancient. Actually under thirty. I remember going to car shows and everyone was always looking for their build sheet for the car. I even watched a guy take out all the interior of his 68 Shelby. What is the big deal with piece of paper. I called SVT and they told me the build sheets are to be thrown away or something before the car leaves the manufacturing facility. Well some how I have mine. My car hit the assembly line March 19th 1999 and left the facility March 22nd as Cobra #553. Does anyone look for these anymore? Does anyone of you SVT owners have yours? JUST CURIOUS?

Chris anyone who buy's a Cobra get't the build sheet sent to them by SVT. They are sent to the new owners at the end of the production year if you did not buy the cobra new the former owner left the sheet for you. Rachrse

I bought my 98 Cobra new and I never found nor was sent a build sheet, only the build certifcate. The build sheet tells the assy plant guys what options, color, etc. for a particular car as it moves down line. My Bullitt's build sheet was under the rear bumper, but I have been unable to find the Cobra's. The build sheet gives real time build date, time of day, etc. that's nice to have, plus it's an authenticity piece for the car. If anyone has info on the location, or where to order, a build sheet, please let me know. Thanks.:cbra:

Blacksnake is right my mistake two different items, should have read your post with my glasses on. Rachrse
