Every dealer gets one?

Hi Guys,
I haven't been on the forum for awhile, so I may not be "up to speed" on this, but...
I was under the impression that every SVT dealership was supposed to be allotted ONE '04 Mystichrome Cobra. I drove past Jannell Ford in Norwell, MA tonight, & saw that they had TWO for sale...a coupe & a vert!

P/S: Vert sticker price: $43,499.00
Coupe sticker price: $39,400.00

The crackheads at Gwinnett Place Ford in Duluth, GA have a Mystichrome vert. Sticker is asking $46k and change. :ugh:

I am not sure if every dealer gets one for sure or not. SVT usually gives preferential treatment to the highest volume dealers so it wouldn't surprise me to see some with more mystichromes than others. Maybe they each get at least one...

Every SVT Dealer was allotted one MystiChrome Coupe and one Convertible (two in total). If a dealer needed another one, they'd have to do some serious begging to swap with another dealer. No more allottment from Ford SVT.

Dealer where I got my car from has 4 verts and 3 coupes in Mystichrome.

Not sure I believe that. One of the largest Ford dealers here in FL only got one vert and no coupe.

Every dealership was guaranteed at least one. The rest were doled out based on standing orders. These cars were not able to be ordered by standard automatic computer ordering, so it had to be ordered manually. Some dealerships knew that, and some didn't.

So, the way it panned out is, every dealership got their one guaranteed car, and they were used to fill any special orders the dealership might have had...then the remainder of the special orders were filled by ford...and LASTLY, any remaining cars were sent to the dealerships that manually ordered them. All the dealerships with 4 ordered by their automated computer ordering system got screwd and only got their one coupe. All the dealerships that ordered 4 manually (whether for special orders or for their showroom floor) got 4. And on and on this went until all 1000 were spoken for.

The dealership said they are the largest SVT dealer in the state. Maybe that counts towards being able to obtain more models than another dealer. They just sold one coupe so now they are down to 4 verts and 3 coupes.
