Are there any possibilities for additional events or is this the full schedule? Would really like to attend at least one On-Track but the three closest events are all about a day's drive for me which makes it a four day weekend. Nice to have 4 days off, but my work schedule may not permit it and the cost goes up by two additional nights at the hotel.

Hey Al... any more events, and I wouldn't have a job anymore!!
Right now, this is pretty much all we can handle (until they hire me full time... :p ) Come on out to Pike's Peak International Raceway... I'm sure there will be a small convoy of us leaving western KC... it's only 640 miles from Independence!
And there are always ways that you can reduce some of your expenses... bring/pack/kill your own meals :D ... share a room with someone in the group...
Half the fun of going to an On Track event is going someplace new... driving/learning new tracks... meeting new SVTOA friends and the fellowship/fun of a road trip with bunch of yellow-line fever track junkies!
Or... Indianaplis Raceway Park (IRP) is a GREAT event... fun ol' track and lots of activities... Kenny Brown tour/din-din, etc... and Brownsburg, IN is only 482 miles from your place!
Think it over... we'd love to have you join us... for either or BOTH!!

IRP could be interesting. I would like to tour the KB facility. Maybe get some input on how to better set up the car since I have one of their packages on it. Of course that starts me thinking...Go for the tubular K member and coil overs or stick with the stock pieces and sport springs? What's a guy to do...
Anyway, how does the IRP track compare to HPT? More technical or less, what is the length of a lap there. Any web site links available?
See you at one of the next events here in KC.

As Jeff mentioned.. IRP is a pretty fun place and having Kenny Brown sponsor our chapter has made things interesting!
We'd love to have you come out!

Don't be scared to cross the boarder people. WE have a great facility for our event this year and would love to see more of you make the short trip. :D

Al,
IRP is a fun and challenging track. Lots of speed coming down the front straight, which is the drag strip, into turn one.
We are also in the process of setting up some track time at Hallett here in OK. Keep an eye out in the OK chapter forum for dates and details.

Will do. Roger Walker mentioned that he would like to get some time in at Hallet also. I think he had made some inquiries but did not have any responses so far.
Sounds like the front stretch at IRP is similar to the arrangement that HPT used to have. They have been re-arranging it so that the front stright will be going through the hot pits instead of the drag strip. I haven't seen any updated pictures yet, but they started the construction this past fall.

It is very similar to HPT.
The events we would have at Hallett would be part of the High Speed Touring events that Hallett puts on. You would be on track with some other makes, possibly. The main advantage would be that we are not tying to rent the whole track for the weekend or day.
Now a weekday is cheap to do and we could try something like that.

The national events are limited to Ford Sponsership. But that will not stop regions from having more than one event. Plus, Any member can attaned any or all of the national events.
Sebring is comming up for the south. But remember all are welcome. We had folk as far as Oklahoma last year.
I will be fun !

Jeff, it might not hurt to post the region's events in their own regional forum. I had mentioned VIR to someone, and he said later he couldn't find the date. Just a thought.

I want to go to IRP. New tires, fresh brakes, extra pads and a whole lotta learning. How will I find out when and where to apply?
Please advise.

The registration for this event will open up about 3 months before the event. Keep a look out for emails letting you know that it is open.
