Below are the events scheduled for OK SVTOA. This year we will be doing a lot of events in conjunction with the 40th Anniv of the Mustang. This should be great for Cobra owners and fans of Ford in general. Dates are not firm, but the actual events are.
Feb: Cruise
March: Dyno Day in Tulsa
April: OKC Driving School
May: Jr Carts -Tulsa
June: Mid America Ford Shelby (note SVTOAOK may have a separate event not yet planned)
July: Stroud Picnic, tenative-SCCA Solo II
August: Fall car show in conjuction with Mustang 40th Anniv
September: High Speed Touring
October: SVTOA Central region On Track - Texas World Speedway
(also tenative Tulsa drag night)
November: Annual Eskimo Joes cruise
December: Christmas Lights Cruise
also this year we are planning to have monthly meetings. The time for these meetings will be noon or evening depending on user interest. The point of these meetings is to keep in touch, introduce new SVT owners to the Chapter and help them learn about their cars, and take part in impromptu events such as quick cruises around town, etc.
tenatively we have chosen Panera Bread at 71st and Garnett because of a dedicated meeting room, ample parking, choice of activities for other family members (shopping eating etc) and ease of access from most of Tulsa (right off HWY 169). I will post another thread to democratically decide the day of the month to host these meetings.
