I am looking for some help. I was driving home from the auto show here in Baltimore on Sunday, and when I pulled away from a light and the front wheels started to hoop bad. I let off and the car seemed to be fine so I drove home.
I was just out side and I looked under the car to see if I could see anything wrong. Well the rear mount for the transaxle broke off at the two mounting points on the transaxle. It is just hanging from the frame now.
I don't want to have to buy another housing for the transmission, but I don't know if it can be fixed.
The car has 118,891 miles on it, and I have had the transmission rebuilt and new clutch installed 7 months ago. I don't use the car all the time, but it is fun to drive and I take it on trips.
It's ceaper on gas than my Cobra and Lighting!
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to unbolt it and replace it. I haven't heard of breaking the actual mount before though. Most often it's the bolt that shears. In either case is it the top mount on the trans or the rear lower mount that broke?

If you have any pics you can email me at buckshot77@aol.com I can help you through it.
