Many times on these boards I've seen folks complaining about their factory seat "Lumbar" feature ballooning out the back of the driver's seat instead of pushing into your lower back as it is supposed to. Well, mine has this problem too (twice!) and the dealer fixed it twice ( rapidly, so I was always curious as to how?).
Well, it just did it again and now I know the secret to fix it. On the bottom of the seat, as you tilt it forward, there is a long flat rib along the entire bottom seat back. It's actually a large squeeze clip made out of plastic and it slide-locks into place to keep the seatback material buttoned down. The Ford tech forgot to clip it shut last time and that is how I discovered access to the inside of the seatback. To open it or close it, you just put your thumbs on the bottom of the seat material edge and pinch the plastic edge rib with your fingers all along the bottom. It'll pop-open! Then if you stick your hand up into the seatback you'll discover a Kangaroo Pouch made out of plastic that holds the air bladder. Usually the air bladder has wiggled its way out the top of the pouch and that's why it balloons the seatback! All I did was stuff it back into the pouch and it works as advertised!
I know this is not a "Real" fix but it comes in handy on a long trip when your back hurts!
