Does anyone have a good reference for subframe connector welding?
I need a shop that has done it before to weld up some on a 2003 Cobra.
Thanks

I had mine done by a small shop in Lawrence that a friend recommended. He had his done there on his Fox body convertible. If interested, I can dig through the heaping pile of reciepts for the car to see if I can find the name. If I recall correctly, I was charged about $75.00 about 4 years ago.

Hey Al.
Do you remember me from the On Track in September?
If you don't mind I sure would appreciate the info on that shop. I have found places that would do it, but none that have actually done it before.
Thanks

I'll dig through the pile of stuff and see what can be found.
I think I remember you. Unfortunately, I am terrible with names.

Well, I couldn't find a reciept for the work so I don't know the name of the shop. I seem to recall that it was a couple blocks east of Massachusetts on east 9th (or maybe 7th or 8th). It was an old gas station converted to auto repair.
Another place to try is the Firestone near 3rd Street off of Highway 350 in Lees Summit. Ask for Chris Romero. They did some installations for Excessive Motorsports before they went under. I don't know if they have any experience with subframe connectors. As I recall the installation is pretty easy, it just requires grinding of the mounting area and welding the steel to the subframes. The connection to the seat anchorage depends on the manufacturer.
Hope this helps.
