Thanks to the participation of many SVT owners at the Ford 100, we had a very successful year. We wanted to share our good fortune with those less fortunate. Our wishes for a Happy New year go out to all of you who attened our events last year. Let's hope this year is just as successful!

Local Automotive Club Makes Donation to Starfish Family Services

Wayne, MI. -- December 22nd 2003-- The Southeast Michigan Special Vehicle Team Owners Association (SVTOA) donated $600 to Starfish Family Services at a special gathering held at Jack Demmer Ford. SVTOA Chapter Treasurer Eric Kuszynski, and Jack Demmer Ford Vice President, Jim Demmer, were on hand to present the check to Jan Gondek, Resource Development Officer for Starfish Family Services. Said Gondek, “We were extremely excited and grateful for SVOTA’s support. This donation marks the beginning of what we hope will become a long-term relationship.”

Special Vehicle Team Owners Association is an international club for owners of Ford Motor Company special vehicles, with over 7500 members and 40 dealer sponsored chapters. The local Southeast Michigan chapter raised the funds through a variety of car shows and special events held throughout the year. Jack Demmer Ford, SVOTA Dealer Sponsor and long time supporter of Starfish Family Services, helped create the partnership between the two organizations. “Starfish’s goal, to strengthen families, seemed an ideal match to our own values,” said Kuszynski. “We chose to donate to Starfish because of their work in supporting families within our community.”

Starfish Family Services is a private, non-profit human services agency whose mission is “strengthening families so they can create brighter futures for children.” For over 40 years Starfish has provided services to the children and families of Southeast Michigan.
