I got my Battery Tender from Eastwood this week and went to hook it up today. The Cobra was dead dead! As soon as I put the charger on it the Alarm went off. Go figure.
To let the Cobra run after I charged it I had to move the 66. The 66 cranked but wouldn't start without a jump and some starting fluid. I ran them both outside for awhile. They looked good together but bored with just sitting there.
I had to take the 66 out for a good charge. It loves this cool weather! Fun was had by all.
How long until the next car show?

well,
considering the fact that it BEE snowing..
:jawdrop:
next car show? late spring.....
Trigger was dead yesterday also --- needed a charge.
Tim Started up the 99, the Mach and Trigger and they all just sat there and got bored too......
actually Tim's KB Cobra is still in the trailer..
we won another auction for a 99 Cobra.
It's black like Tim's but it has 52K miles whereas Tim's only has 13K
somehow, I still feel that Tim's has more "experience"...
if you know what I mean...
we picked it up last week, in Michigan -- for a steal of a price --
now, to figure out what to do with it.....
I picked up the flu and it turned into walking pneumonia --- so I won't be doing much for awhile. It kills me to see it just sitting there waiting for its first coat of Zaino...

How long does the car have to sit before the battery is dead?

It seems like the new ones last about 5 to 6 weeks. The 65 and 66 seem to go much longer, 8 to 10 weeks before they need jumped.
I believe the electronics and the alarm are always pulling some juice on the newer cars.

Last winter, I started my Cobra, once a month, and had no battery problems between starts. I did not appear to be diminnished in any way. So far this winter, no problem either.
