I have a 2001 Cobra. It presently has 2,800 miles and is used for show. I have a ATI ProCharger P1SC, 8#, 42# injectors, a 255lph fuel pump, Bassini X pipe, adn FR500 CAT back. It dynoed at 440+hp.

With all that said, the car does not run properly. When I had the Supercharger installed, it came from ATI with a Superchip. The car never did run right, had the chip redone twice. The car kept quitting at idle or even at a 55mph cruise.

I spent another $300 on a Diablo chip after I received no service from Superchips. The Diablo chip stopped the quitting, but the speedometer never did work right. So I installed a gear correction box at a cost of $100 that fixed that problem. Now after 3 Diablo chips, the car still cuts out and bucks at 4-5K rpms and about 80mph. It just starts jerking and will shut itself down. Iam about ready to take everything off this car and start again.

Any chance I had a bad ECU from the start? MSE3 was the code.

Any comments will be appreciated. It really frustrating to have such a beautiful and fun car with a real lack of driveability.

Hi roberth. Anything's possible, but my guess is with the amount of modifications you have installed the only way to hit the tune right is take it to the tuner of your choice and buy some dyno time (with some air/fuel readings) where they can work all the driveability bugs out.

Yes, its not cheap, but it will unlock all the horsepower you've already paid for, and more importantly, keep it together.

Good Luck!

It sounds like spark blowout. Did you change plugs? And if so, did you go to one or two heat ranges colder, along with a smaller gap. Try about .035
