View Full Version : Winter Blues
Just wondering what other Cobra owners do in the winter when their baby is in the garage for the long winters nap? Me I count the days untill I can put my boat back in the water. You see the boat comes out after the Cobra does. For me this makes the time go by faster. :tmb: The boat is May 1st. The Cobra is late March early April (depending on snow and leftover road salt). Enjoy your winter blues.:(

This is a bigtime bummer for me, I hate winter... It's about 11 degrees right now.. :(
All you can do is wait it out. Winter makes me do crazy things like this:

Sorry about the winter blues. But, I gotta be honest with you that I never get them. I live in Seattle where it never snows, never salt on the roads and if you can handle a little rain you get year round Cobra fun. You can live vicariously through me, that is of course until someone from Arizona pipes in.

We all must suffer together!, I have two 03 snakes and an 88 GT vert being stored at my place, and I took the cover of the 88 to show some people last night and an hour later it had two inches on it. You should have seen me out there in 50 mile an hour winds trying to wipe it off and get the cover on, I won't take her off again unless I see sun for hundreds of miles!LOL!!!

I'm having the blues because I've had to drive my Cobra the last 2 weeks and in that time we have got about 2 and a half feet of snow. My beater's motor siezed.

Blackcobra03, that's how life always is!, I hope you have another transpo source, I'd walk before I pulled that baby out in the snow. AHHH, and to our Cali friends rubbing in the beautiful weather, at least I can come back from a cruise without a couple bullit holes in my doors! LOL!!!

Also those in socal are usually stuck in bumper to bumper traffic so often, they can't enjoy their cars. And the pollution! Forget about it.
So let me see if I get this right. If I live in Seattle I can drive all winter but in the rain
No fun there. If I live in SoCal I am stuck in bumper to bumper sucking on exhaust fumes no fun there either. Texas hmm!? LOL. So parking in the garage for 4 to 5 months does not seem too bad after all.
But then I have 7 to 8 months of driving fun here in Michigan. Where ever you live enjoy the winter. :tmb:

Smog? Not along the coast! Traffic?, yes. Twisty roads? All over the place. California has it all. Live anywhere else? Not me!

Ken, well I do agree with you and Norcal about the twisties, I went to high school in Westlake Village and what fun it was to drive down Kanin Rd to Zuma Beach!. I moved after I saw two fully loaded AH-1 Cobra gunships flying into LA from Point Magu durring the LA riots! The bullit hole joke actually was a true experience, but that's life in a big city! This Summer I am planning a PCH cruise, there is something about Cali weather that I have not experienced anywhere else, the feeling is awsome, especially when you haven't been there in a while!

I'll join you on that PCH cruise 5.0 guy. I've done it around the Monterey area and it is stunning.
CA has it all: beaches, mountains, desert, you name it. Where I live I can be at the beach in 20 mins, up in the mtns doing some corner carving in 20 mins, and snowboarding in 3 1/2 hours at Lake Tahoe. If I want to go out for a night on the town, I am 40 mins from SF. Not to mention there are several professional sports teams within an hour of my house: SF 49ers, Oakland Raiders, Golden State Warriors, Oakland A's, SF Giants, and San Jose Sharks.
I've travelled all over the US and can't say I'd live anywhere else but CA. Now if we could just get rid of all these East coast and Midwest transplants... :)

You forgot smog, heavy to extreme traffic, and Disney Land!LOL!!! Norcal, we are definately going on a PCH cruise this Summer, who better to cruise with than a local that owns an 03 snake and a five O'! We haven't listed our business for sale yet and I already have an interested buyer! One place we plan to checkout is Northern Cali, I have only been to San Fran once, but thought it was beautiful! All I care about is being able to do Christmas shopping next year at somewhere other than K Mart, thats fancey shopping up here!!!

No smog or Disneyland in my area, that's all down in the Southland, traffic isn't so bad anymore here now that the dot com boom is over. I've been to Craig before, definitely a small town...Just imagine what it was like before Walmart moved in there.
