The Delaware Valley Chapter of the SVTOA shall hold their first “dyno day” at JDM Engineering in Freehold, NJ this Saturday, November 15, 2003. With vast expertise in Ford performance, and a particular focus on the Ford F-150 Lightning truck, the team at JDM Engineering knows how to get the best out of your Ford product! Jim D’Amore and his staff are world renowned for providing some of the best products and services to the fast Ford crowd, especially their work on the F-150 SVT Lightning supertruck. The DelVal SVTOA is fortunate enough to be able to have such a great team of experts in their local area to consult with and utilize for all of it’s performance needs.

The dyno day will get underway at 8:00 A.M. sharp. (If you’ve got a conflict and cannot be there on time, please contact me at the e-mail or number below.) Please have your vehicle prepared for the day’s events. Make sure that all of your fluids are within specification (especially engine oil), your vehicle is relatively clean (we don’t want to have to delay a vehicle’s turn on the dyno while you clean the Freedom Fries out of the driver’s seat!), tires are inflated to specification and that the air filter is clean! Dirty air filters lead to less air flow and hence your dyno numbers will not properly reflect your vehicles true performance!

Jim and his staff have happily agreed to provide the chapter with various food items (hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, chips, etc.) and non-alcoholic beverages, but please be courteous with your consumption and clean up after yourself. If you require special dietary items, or do not care for anything that is being provided, please see to your own food and beverages. Please lend a hand when it comes to grilling, clean up and general helpfulness. We want to be invited back again! Make sure to be prepared for the weather as well since observers will most likely be exposed to the elements in the observation areas either inside the dyno bay or outside the overhead door.

If you desire to do any modifications (intake, custom chips, etc.) or have any questions as to what can be done to your vehicle, please contact JDM Engineering directly at sales@teamjdm.com or by phone at 732-780-0770. The DelVal SVTOA is not responsible for any prior arrangements of services, products, or vehicle damage.

Pricing for the day’s events are $75 for three consecutive (read three in a row without removing the vehicle from the dyno) pulls and $125 for 3 pulls with monitoring of the air / fuel mixture. Pre-payment directly to JDM that morning of cash or major credit card only will be acceptable!!! (Sorry, no personal checks!) All other services and products should be arranged by the individual with JDM Engineering prior to your turn on the dyno.

For directions to JDM Engineering, you can utilize a program like www.mapquest.com or www.mapblast.com and enter your starting destination and then JDM’s address as listed above. There may be a gathering of chapter members at a local shopping area to caravan into JDM’s facility. Please check out the chapter’s message board at http://www.svtownersassociation.com/svtoaforums/forumdisplay.php?forumid=49&s= for the latest information or contact me at the e-mail and / or phone number listed below.

Ear protection is also recomended. I have been in the shop when vehicles were being dynoed. I wish I had protection. I will have ear plugs on Saturday, that's for sure.
