On occassion, my battery light will come on while I am driving the car. It came on briefly under a hard braking, once during a really hard low speed u-turn, and once under a normal acceleration. I pulled the plastic battery cover to check my connections, and everything is really tight. The battery is tied down so tight that I cannot even budge it. I will probably take it to the dealer early this coming week, but was just wondering if this is a normal thing or what?

This makes me a little nervous, since my last car liked to throw dummy lights on, all the time, usually because there was something wrong with the car.

Anything else to check for? Wiring was very tight, and I even double checked all the connections that I could see.

Thanks!

Have you had TSB #03-19-11 performed on your SVTF yet? The battery light is one of the symptoms it is supposed to fix (and in my case, has fixed).

No sir, I just purchased the car on October 13th. I was not aware of any TSB's. So I should take it to the dealer then?

Yes, take it in. Do you also have a high rev cold start if you hit the gas before letting it warm up? It also cures that. And even after warming up a little, do you sense a slight surging around 3-4k or so when driving? It mostly goes away after driving awhile but it is noticeable within the first 15-20 minutes or so. It should cure that too. The TSB is on another post around here. It's also known as YRF0. Good luck and it should make the car feel even better than it already is. I'm having mine done as soon as it gets back from the body shop. It's at the dealer so I'll ask if they can just drive it in and do it while it's there for body work anyways.

Good Luck again.:spinem:

Thanks everyone for the help. Do I just download these TSB from this site, and take them into the dealer, or do they know about these already? I feel kind of dumb, this is only my 2nd new car, 1st new one got wrecked 6 months after buying it, so I got something used after that. I haven't had to deal with TSB's before, so I am really clueless when it comes to them.

Thanks again for helping a NOOB out. :D

EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw the TSB thread posted by inteller. I will just print that out, and take it to the dealership. WOOHOO, I am liking this site!!!

Edit #2: Is something that they can do while I wait, or am I going to have to leave the car there?
