Cranked out 401 RWH and it is Stock except for Magnaflow Xback exhaust and K&N air filter.
Dyno tech said that it was running lean and after tuning he could get me up to 430 RWH

looks like its running rich (leaning out would increase power) actually as the RPMs build

agree 100% with you. :tmb:
but you don't have to do the run over again... you can have them print it with different correction factors. shops usually (never seen otherwise) save the runs on the computer so repeating the run is not required.

Do I gain the idea that I could go back to Dallas Mustang and have them program a chip and not have to spend hours on the Dyno tuning the engine?
I met a 95 Cobra owner last night who also has a vintage 70's Cougar that has the Nox and is running 515 HP. He reviewed my chart and stated that I should be looking into upgrading the fuel unit since it wasn't supporting the engine demand. That was why it was running lean at 4500 rpm and up.
This car is absolute fun and so addicting. I drive the Texas highways always on the look out for a challenge. I seem to gain more of the advantage once I get over 100 mph up to 150 mph and put a wide distance between me and the other car. It seems the smaller lighter cars with much lower hp can stay closeby me under 80 mph and I don't get as wide a distance from them. I was thinking about changing the rear gears to a 3.73 to give it some better low end acceleration. It spins like crazy now with the traction control turned off. I was also suggested to change the tires to Nitto to run a stickier tire. I went against a Z06 corvette and hit the wrong gear and had hit pass me by, frustrating.
I want it all. I want it to run like a bat out of hell, from the get go. Take off and to the max 155 mph. As soon as I get the chipwork, I intend to get the full topend of 170 mph. I had the dealer install a 2000 Cobra R wing inplace of the stock wing. My intentions are to get the full potential the car can perform. Texas highways are wide open and straight. When the state troopers are not out there, it is real easy to run the Cobra up to 150 in a blink of an eye, and then back down to 75. Love to take friends for a ride and give them a neck snapping experience.
I push it hard and have a recurring problem with the throwout bearing making noise intermitently. Sounds like a belt whine when the clutch is engaged. They had to replace it at 5000 miles and now I am at 6800 miles and the noise is occuring again. Dealer is discussing the problem with SVT to figure out why it is failing. The shifting is also worse and have shift problems from 2 to 3 and also from 6 to 5 and 4 when I am getting agressive on the highways.
My Cobra is my daily driving vehicle. I want it to perform day in and day out. Any time that it has to be in a shop and I have to use a loaner car and I lost the driving fun. I want it fixed and not have to get repair work, only to replace the tires and brake pads when they get worn out.

Just had the car dynoed at Swanson Performance here in Torrance (Southern California). I had the car dynoed before and after the chip. The chip added 22 RWHP and over 30lbs torque. Here are the numbers:
447 RWHP SAE Corrected (462 STD)
474.5 RW Torque SAE Corrected
Mods:
K&N Filter (removed silencer)
2.80" Upper pulley around 14lbs boost
MAC Mufflers only (no cat-back yet)
ACCUFAB Single blade TB
Swanson dyno-tuned processor (huge gains here, and took only one hour or so)
Hope this helps...
Edited 6/26/03
Just added the Bassani catted X-pipe as well as the Kenne Bell CAI. New numbers...
469 RWHP SAE Corrected (484 STD)
482.5 RW Torque SAE Corrected

Odd that you find our 'flying brick' does better above 100mph. It pulls well through all the gears, true, but I have much more fun running from lower speeds (not that we're in the double digits for long:)).
I wonder if you're dropping into the right gear when racing people? My second gear pull from a 40 or 50MPH roll is amazing, and puts at least a car length on most people I race. If you're cruising faster than that, then third gear at 80MPH is also a good place to run from. Try it out, if you havn't already:).
As for your top speed. The chip will knock out that speed limiter easily. I've had mine to 165 and it felt stable as a rock. Pulls down well from high speeds too. Nice all around package! :tmb:
Had a friend put 4.10's in his, and he ran worse at the track than he was before. He was not happy with it at all. Too much tire spin. I'm not so sure that our cars need more gear with all the torque we have.
