It has just been officially announced that I have won the 2002 American Open Road Racing Championship for the Grand Toruing Division. I did it using my 2001 Mustang Cobra which was stock (except for new tires and safety equipment). My prize for winning the division is a free race next year.

Is there anyone at Ford or SVT that I might be able contact? I might be interested in taking a newer Ford product for my free entry. A race prepared vehicle would be prefered

Well... You can try and contact the national office, perhaps someone there can refer you to the proper department?

Recently, The MKM team challenge coordinator (www.openroadracing.com) listed a $2000 prize for the team that wins the first race of the MKM racing season (Bonneville 100).

Team members will also get %1(per member) off to each Team entrant. 25 members on a team would get %25 off each of there entriy fees.

Covettes (Looking Glass Corvette team) have had the best record in the past, simply due to the large number of Corvettes that attend.

The SVT members could mount a credible challenge, but someone would need step up to form the team. I may only be able to attend one race this season, so I would not be able lead a team.
