View Full Version : Seat Cushion Problem

My driver's seat and to a lesser extent my passenger seat are getting off-white spots on the cloth upholstery (red) about the size of dimes. I do not eat food or drink in my car. I recall seeing a thread about this a while ago that is now gone. That thread suggested that the spots were being caused by the seat cushion foam breaking up. There appears to be a divot in the foam itself that I can feel. Has anyone who had had this problem had any luck with the dealer or Ford taking care of the problem? Thanks for any help with this.

I have this problem as well. Mine is a large area and look like drinks were spilled on both seats. Even though nothing has ever been spilled on my seats... I think I read people having this taken car of as a recall item/warrenty fix. Been a while since I read anythign on it though....

there has been talk of this all over the net, but no concerted effort to make SVT aware of it. Just call SVT and log a complaint. Only if they get enough complaints will they do something about it.

I see these appear periodically and am able to get rid of them with a vacuum.

I have a couple that appear to be gum worked into the seat over a 5 year period. I dont eat and rarely drink only spilled once and not on the seats. I cant figure it out.

Hmmm...I was thinking *something else* could've been done on those seats and have discoloured them. Is there something you guys aren't admitting to that SVT should know in-lieu of your complaints? :D :spank:

I have red inserts and I have the same problem, four dime size fading spots. You say calling SVT will help solve this?

My seat just doesn't feel level all the time. Sure would like a set of the Euro Leathers.
Spots come and go.
By the way, great avatar; f'ing hil'
