that's one sweet truck. I bet you'll get one when it comes out next fall!

Hi Lee, hope you and Lori are doing well. I don't think that I will get a gen 3. They are 6" longer and about 600 pounds heavier. Of course If I keep playing with my gen 2, interms of setting it up for road courses, I could use a gen 3 for a tow truck.

Kim,

I asked the local FORD guys when I could put my order in !!!

That is just gonna ROCK as a tow truck ...

Hey Clilff, I think that it would look awsome going to LFess pulling the gen2 with a gen 3. I may come up your way some time this fall.. I will warn you first.:)

Is that the same as the promo "L" with the 6 speed and yellow interior, 22" gymshoes? Looks BIG 8^)

That's the one and only, as far as I know.

The real gen 3 L will be a standard cab, not the extra cab being shown. The interior will be toned down and last I read the trans was going to be the hold up. The last stuff I read said they were going to try and adapt the 5 speed auto from behind the 6L powerstroke. I think the real issue is warranty and clutch/transmission life issues with that much power. But with the Ram SRT10 having a stick, who knows where the competion will push them.

5 spd auto. in console. The new standard cab has extra space and access behind seat, unlike our old trucks. I might get a gen 3, but I will not part with my gen 2. Instant classic I think.:bna

I thought I saw an air shifted manual @ SVT, not sure if it was for a future paddle setup or what. That's a lot of torque. :)

I think I would like a paddle shifter. That option was on the "how do you want it?", survey some Lightning owners got do a year or so ago.
