I went to the track for the first time in Jackson S.C. and had a blast! I had a best run of 13.888 @ 97.02 MPH! Not the out standing numbers others were pulling but My truck is bone stock with stock tires and 48K miles on it. Wow what a blast. My wife ran it with her best a 13.892 @ 97.62 MPH! I think the old truck is one hell of a daily driver! I was running 22PSI in my back tires for that time does anyone else have any track tricks for me? Oh and chuck I did remove the tail gate and tire for that time. It seemed to work for me. Wish you were there later last night.

My wife (Michelle) and I ran my truck at Darlington this weekend; What a blast. She ran a 13.629 @ 100.84 MPH! And I ran a 13.616 @ 99.23 MPH And this was ALL STOCK. I can't wait to drop the truck off with the man, the mythe, the legend. David Laxton out of Charolette. :D

Darlington seems to hook up real good. What was the temp, that always helps .Mine ran 13.50 at 100 and 13.51 at 100 at 48 degrees.Go woody! Does your truck have the intercooler upgrade?Enjoyed seeing you at the beach Sat.Chuck

Yep I got the intrecooler done at bob Bennett Ford. the Temp was about 68. I had a good time in Myrtle too. Well life as I know it has ended until the 18th of DEC. Then it sucks again on the 2nd of Jan until the 8th of FEB. Being a drill sergeant suck.. But it pays the bills. Take care.

supposedly, it takes lot's of little things/tips/tricks to eat away at the times... some stuff from the Lightning site...
- make sure OD is off
- max tire pressure on front tires (less rolling resistance)
- most seem to run 18-24 pounds in rear.
- gas tank less than 1/4 full
- take everything not needed off to reduce weight - trailer hitch, spare tire, tailgate, passenger, anything/everything you can find. (every pound counts)
- skip breakfast and lunch
- left foot on brake, bring RPM up to 1-1.2K
- take off is critical - don't punch the go peddle until you start rolling to minimize spin.
what am I missing???

Having made at least 50 passes at 4 diferent tracks 1/8 and 1/4 I can share with you that my stock 00L' has been run tailgate up, off, down, swaybar off ,spare tire off .overdrive off, 104 octane etc. It definatley runs faster/quicker w tailgate up and over drive on.My friend with an 11.60 L'(juiced was told by JDM guys to always run 1/2 tank fuel to insure proper fuel pressure. Ain't it great to live in America. But don't believe every thing you read. You have to experiment. Like Gary Player the golfer told me Its good you are starting young because you have to make lots of strokes to get good. The same holds true to racing I suppose.I gave up golf by the way. I think the fastest L' I've seen was owned by Powersurge 10.30's.All it takes is $$$.Anyone have some extra for me?Thanks for letting me rant.It must be the turkey.:p
