questions on the 1999 cobra recall???

Hello guys I'm new in this site I just purchase my first cobra is a 1999 cobra and I just heard about the recall on the 1999 cobra so my questions is who where should I call to find out if my car was already fix or what need's to be fix if you guys can help me out with a number where I can reach somebody to ask about this here is my e-mail marcougarte73@hotmail.com thank you.

Does the car still have any factory warranty with it? If so Ford will take care of this.Call the guys up at svt and they should take care of this.They will also tell you by the vin number if the car has had the fix.The fix consisited of new intake,belt tensioner,new mufflers and computor reflash.

this even if the original warrenty was up. This was a recall and they need to fix it regardless of the warrenty status.

My buddy had the work done on his and he said the dealer pestered him until he had it done.

Look under the hood their should be a sticker on the radiator brace that shows the car has been fixed mine was on the right hand side at the hood prop bracket.

There is either a green or black dot on the lower intake tab behind the alternator, look for that sticker by the radiator, look at the mufflers and they will have a number stamped on the bottom, 7619 I believe is the number.

You may not have a sticker or a dot on the intake, mine didn't. Call up 1-800-FORD-SVT and give them the vin and they can tell you.
