OK, I've finally gotten through to JDM to start setting up the dyno day. They'd like me to project how many vehicles we may possibly have come with us. It would be on a Saturday, but they can't schedule as Jim is in Texas on business this week. If we show a good enough interest, I'm sure that we'll get their attention.
Who's in??
1. Jamie

Do they have an idea of how much it will cost per person?
I'm in though.

They couldn't make a firm commitment on price yet, but when the CJMF did it earlier this year, it was $75 for 3 pulls and $125 air/fuel. I'm sure we'll be in that neighborhood.

That's great news!:tmb: Now we need members to step up to the plate. I will see if Joe is interested in putting the R in.:)

I will come if I don't have to work that Saturday. Chances are 3 out of 5 I would be OK.

OK, we've got a shot at November here folks, so I need at least a dozen cars!!! $75 for a regular dyno and $125 for a Dyno with A/F.
Who's in???
Herb, can you e-mail everyone to ask them??? We've got any Saturday in November right now except the 29th.

If we need to fill people, we can open it up to other local chapters and I'm sure a few people from the DelValO Lightning Owners would show. So would the CJMF guys. Lets see who we can get from the SVTOA though.

Yes, since it's a DelVal event, I'd like to exhaust our resources first.

It looks like we have a potential of 5 in this thread already. I think we could swing 7 more if we get the word out.
See, it'd be great to have a website to put this info up. If only we could get Holman to fork over the cash for the space.

To get an accurate number, we need to pick a specific date to get everyone to commit too. Can you pin JDM down to an exact date? I suggest November 8 or 15. :cbra:

Herb,
No, I didn't get it fixed yet. I'm going to take her in for the headlights (fogging) and that after the PDA event that I'm running mid-October.
Can we aim for the 15th? I might be going to Cecil for the SSOTN event.

See if the 15th is good for JDM.

Just heard back. It is OK. Can you send out an e-mail to get a commitment? I'd like to open this up to others AFTER we exhaust the SVTOA folks. Should we open this to the North Jersey folks?

The 15th is good. I'll be there.

What time would it be starting?
I know a few people have no clue where JDM is. Would it be worth it to meet at like Holman or something and caravan up?

They can get the address and mapquest or mapblast it. That would be the best way to get people from various locations there. I'd be going directly from my house over, otherwise it would take me 45 minutes longer. We also wouldn't be waiting in the parking lot of the dealer for someone who might be running late. (Not mentioning any names!!! Ha, ha, ha!)
I'll verify time after we commit to the day. Last time we sarted before 7AM and didn't finish until after 6PM. We had 15 vehicles and there was a malfunction on the computer. (We were the first club to hold a day-long event there, so there was some pressure.) Basically, it would be first come, first serve unless you've got a pressing issue. We could also do a random drawing for positions.

I don't care when I get to run. I'd rather wait for my truck to cool down a bit after I got there rather than go right away.
I was implying that you had to drive all the way down to Holman just to go back where you came from. It's just that there are a few people around who have never been to JDM or even Raceway Park so they don't know where they are going. It's less intimidating if you get to follow someone who knows where they are going.
We did it for Arnolds. I met Sean and Bryan at a local Wawa, I can't remember if anyone else showed up there. But it worked out good.

Got ya chief. Well, I'll meet all of you there since it would be more direct for me.
I've got an interested North Jersey member to fill a spot if needed.

Great work Jamie! :allhail: John's got a good point that we can address at meeting or while at ETown! As for waiting, well, my theory is if you say leave at 7, you are moving at 7:05. :) Emailing will begin tomorrow 10/3/03.:tmb:

I'll definitely be there. Sounds like fun.
Any plans for food while there?

Last time, Jim & crew got out their grill and kept us all rolling in dogs & burgers, so I'll make sure that that happens again. This will be a fun day!!! We can even start a pool to guess numbers (HP & TQ)! Our winner last time was 1HP and 2TQ away from my number, but he was closer. I almost had some extra funny money...

It's gonna be interesting to compare our numbers at JDM to what we all got at the NMRA at Atco dyno, and what Sean got at JD's. Am really interested in seeing what Gary Levin would get-- he had his car tuned at JDM (one of D'Amore's early projects). I know he doesn't read this forum. Is he on your e-mail list, Herb?

John,
We can meet at the same Wawa in Bellmar.
JDM is about 70 minutes from there.
