I called E-Town today and they didn't have information finalized for Fords at Englishtown yet! They are supposed to contact me when it becomes available.

I would strongly suggest that those that wish to show their cars do so on Sunday, not Saturday as Saturday is a "1st place or nothing" per class event. It wasn't satisfying last year. I plan to show on Sunday and possibly race!!!

Yeah, but we're going to be there on Saturday and admission is cheaper for 2 people on Saturday by going into the show. :bash: Plus I would rather park where I don't need to worry about it getting stolen!

3 questions about Etown.
Do you have to preregister to get in the show, or can we do it at the gate?
The classes listed on their web site only go up to 2002. I assume we can include our 2003 cars?? Didn't see any separate class for SVT or Cobras? Anyone know if that's, indeed, correct?
Never been there. How's the food?

You will register at the event. I don't think there is pre registration for this event.
Yes 2003's are included, flyer wasn't updated probably. Not sure about an SVT Cobra class. I think it just goes by year.
Food isn't bad, just expensive, like any place with a captive audience. They usually have a variety of eats too.

You do NOT need to pre-register for the show. You pay at the gate after you tell them that you're going to show your car. Classe for the 2003 Cobras would be #8, Special Edition Mustang – Ford Built. That's what I've been in, so that's what you'll be in.

Well, I will be at the meeting but I won't be able to make it to Englishtown. The plans I have that were tentative have been confirmed. I could goto Englishtown but I'd get up there, spend about a half hour there and have to leave so there isn't much point in going for me. Next time I guess.

Nah, don't want to go on Sunday. I was actually planning on doing some work to the truck on Sunday and helping a friend with his car.

Anyone go on Sunday? The car show was dissapointing-- our club cars got the majority of the attention! We spoke to hundreds of people about Cobras!
Who won Class 8, by the way?
The coffee cup was pretty pathetic (small and cheap), but maybe it was really an espresso cup!
Pretty quiet and poorly attended, but did get to see a lot of drag racing.
Thanks for leading, Jamie.

Saturday, Joe V. won with his 200 Cobra R.
Sunday, yours truly took 1st with his 2001 Cobra.
I wasn't able to make it past the first round of eliminations in the money bracket because I got too excited and blew my dial-in of 14.300 with a 14.19x. I started to let off the gas and was about ready to hit the breaks when I head over the radio that I was too far out, so I punched it and got my best time yet, but at a low mph.

I got the whole thing on video from inside the car: http://www.jeeps4ever.com/CMJeepster/Mustang%20Stuff/CJMF/CJMF%20Events/Fords@Etown2003/MOV00112.MPG

I won't be replacing him anytime soon, but it was fun to run in a major event like that!!!
