You're right, it has been.
I sent a note to the SVTOAOK list last week and have received zero responses.
Several changes have recently occurred, and the current guard is overwhelmed. Clay has returned to active military duty, and Dell is preoccupied for the short term with a job change and family concerns. Furthermore, I will be stepping down from Activities Director before the end of the year.
Regardless, it is time for some fresh input and new volunteers. We need 2-3 people to help plan / coordinate events and share some of the administrative responsibilities. This could all be done in a few hours a month by a single person, but more people lighten the load and improve event quality.
Dell is already the Southwest Regional Director but will continue to act as the Chapter Director until Clay returns. I will still manage the SVTOAOK website and plan to increase my involvement in SVTOA On-Track events.
In other words, we'll be around, but we need help immediately. Since my last message, I've learned Jonathan will not be available for the Talamina cruise. Since my track car isn't street legal (my primary reason for passing the torch), I will not be there to drive or coordinate the event the day of.
I will pre-plan all or part of the event, but unless someone has a spare Bullitt or 2003 Cobra (*salivate*) for me to drive, we'll need someone to take the reigns for this cruise to happen.
Email me, post a reply here, send a smoke signal, whatever if you want to help out.

I'm not even sure where Talamina is, but I can help out in some way probably. Just don't tell me it is the weekend of the 25th. In the mean time I plan on attending the last of the Tuesday cruise-ins until they are over. Anyone in Tulsa with an SVT should come out and enjoy the weather.

Well, that's the beauty of being one of the Men In Charge. You get pick what, when, and how things are done. No date has been selected yet.
For the cruise, not much is involved other that knowing how to read a map and watch for road signs. Keep track of the number of cars, and bring a cell people so people can call if separated.
