I took my wife's car to a car audio shop to have them install a cd changer. While I was in there I noticed an ad on the wall for a 6 disc in-dash cd player. I asked them about it and they said that they would sell it to me, but they don't work very well. He suggested a 10 disc changer instead, which would be less money (sony make). I asked him what the problem with the in-dash player was. He said he has had alot of people bring cars in that have these and the disc will be loaded two in one slot. The space between each cd is paper thin. (factory and after market both have same problem). Has anyone had this problem with there SVT:confused: . My suggestion to avoid a possible problem in the future is to use slot #1, #3, and #6 only. I don't know about you, but I don't need more than 3 cd's at a time. Better safe than sorry. Jace.:cbra:

I've never had a problem with mine and I listen to the CD player more than the radio. Knowone else I know with the Ford in dash 6 Disc player has had any prblems either. Now watch, I'll have nothing but problems on the way home tonight.

There is one known issue with the Mach 460 6 disc CD player. CD's with labels attached to them tend to jam the player.

I seem to recall that the Mach 460 head unit is made by Sony. You might want to do a search on the web to verify this (that's where I think I found this out). If so, I don't see why the "cheaper" 10 disc Sony unit would perform any better.

Just my 2 cents worth...

Just some additional info for you....I had a Sony 10 disc changer in my previous car and never had any problems with it. It was an absolutely perfect addition.

I Havent had a single problem with mine. Well one little problem that I havent had looked at because I dont know if it is A factory default setting or not. That is when you are listening to a cd and you FFWD or RWD the track it will hang on ethier direction. It's almost like the button is getting stuck, But I have declaerd that not true do to the fact that it does it on the Stering colum controls and on the Radio Face itself. Any one else with this issue?
