A friend just picked up a black 03 SVT Focus

It's not my fault man. My future inlaws keep planning things and my girlfriend keeps volunteering me to her friends as manual labor. Besides, the truck is fricking filthy and I can't get people to leave me the hell alone and give me some space on a weekend to clean it. It needs it bad too. Inside and out. I wanted to detail it last spring but didn't have any time. I'm hoping to get a chance to do it this weekend.


Be glad though, the guy who picked up the Focus is a Honda convert. I had mentioned it to him a while ago and he kinda scoffed at it because of cost. But he was looking at a new Acura RSX at the time and I told him to check it out. Took him a few months but he finally bit the bullet and got the car. I'm happy for him though. It fits his style and has a decent amount of utility. Makes an awesome commuter car too. I just hope his 'rents don't go ape **** on him. He deserves something nice. He has busted his butt through school and getting jobs and such and he never takes any time for himself. Now he has something he can enjoy without having to fix every weekend.

You know what, I think most of you met him. When we went to Arnold's he was the guy who showed up just to see what was going on. I think I introduced him to Bryan, Sean, Jamie, Dave and Eric. I don't remember if you met him Herb? Tall skinny guy, black hair and glasses. Kinda quiet. He's cool though.

Do any of you guys remember the e-mail from SVTOA a while back that offered members and up to 3 friends the X plan deal on an SVT Focus? I think it's probably expired, but if anyone knows about let me know, as I know a guy who might be interested. That and the rebate or free financing make that car a real steal.
