It's great so far. I haven't had a chance to really push it yet. It's rained the past two days and the Cobra stays in the garage when the weather is bad. The weather is supposed to clear up for the rest of the week. :)

Does it seem okay for a daily driver? I'm shopping for springs and I don't want to get something that will be harsh or bottom out all the time. I'm thinking Koni's and C springs right now, but I'll take any opinion into account.

The ride is definetly firmer but not harsh. So far I have no problem with bottoming out. I had the C springs on my '95 GT along with the Bilsteins from Maximum Motorsports. The comparison is very similar. I like the H&R springs better though. The C springs do not drop the rear enough in my opinion. You can remove a coil and get it lower. The Bilsteins from Maximum Motorsports are valved to their specifications to match the rates of the H&R springs. I like the self-adjusting feature of the Bilsteins vs. the adjustable Koni's. A friend of mine runs Koni's with Maximum Motorsports coilovers on his '99 Cobra and it rides and handles great. If you have any more questions just let me know.

For an update. The springs have settled in a bit more. I've had a few good opportunities to push the car and I must say it handles great. Bumpsteer is very minor, but I am going to install a bumpsteer kit anyway. The driver side front tire does rub a little when making turns (275 tires all the way around). I used the stock rubber isolators when installing the springs. I will probally replace them with urethane and see if that eliminates the rubbing. There are no squeeks or pops and rebound when hitting bumps and dips is perfect. :)

I am about to do this to my 2001 convert. Any thing to look out for or special tools you needed? I have never done an IRS so am a little worried. I have also heard that some spring compressors are tough to fit.

You'll need an "inside"spring compressor.

Go here (http://www.fallscitymustangclub.com/How_to/SaleenSprings.htm) for my write up..

Here's an updated pic of my ride..

You will definetly need an internal compressor. I rented one from Auto Zone. It's not that difficult. Just take your time, don't be in a hurry. A compressor is not needed on the fronts if you pop the tie-rod ends loose from the lower control arms. I didn't break them loose since I already had the compressor. Good luck.

MINERALGSVT, your car looks good!!!

Can someone tell me which direction the bottom of the coil springs should be facing. I am having a ride height issue. The rear coils should be pointing in opposite directions right?
