Anyone in the area have or know anyone that has a set of used high perf. aluminum small block heads for sale? Im in need of a set to finish up my cobra. If anyone has info please let me know. If not I guess Ill have to bite the bullet and just buy a new set.

What year heads do you need and what size motor do you want them for?

351w motor, block year is 85, need something peepy for the cobra

There is no way you are putting this thing in your '96.

I just have a hard time believeing that. :p

That is the link to a set of GT 40 X Aluminum heads on E-bay for under 600 dollars right now. Check it out. fits 289, 302, and 351.

Thanks, I have that one and 2 others im eyeing, just wondered if I might find some local. And no they are not for the 96. They are for the 66cobra.

I might know someone, Don't get you hopes up yet, but I will call him from work today. He works in the same place I do, and he Owns Fords, and knows people who own Fords. I'll get a hold of him around 8:00 am and see if he can find anything.

Is that a 66 Cobra REPLICA? Please tell me you aren't putting that motor into a real Cobra. If it is a real Cobra, we have a bunch of stuff left over from our Cobra days and I can dig. But if it is a replica, then that stuff would be a bit expensive.

Sorry, but no its not a real one. If it were it would not have a 351 anywhere near it.

What a relief. I felt that a 351, especially if it has a roller cam, in a Shelby Cobra would be blasphemous. And although I would have been polite about it, I would have given you so much guff that you would have been annoyed.

Now a sidewinder would be nice.but maybe that was a 67

Kind of punny but true.
The last sidewinder I saw was about ten years ago and ten thousand dollars.Some guy in Ga was running them in his dirt track ca,.And selling them also.
