Hi everyone.

I attended the Feb dyno day when I had a '01 Cobra.

Now I have a '03 SVT Focus (Euro)

I need to learn to drive this little buzz bomb, and wanted to know if I need to sign up ahead of time, or is the upcoming Hallet date a SVTOK day?

Thanx
Rob

You will need to register in advance for this event. We are joining the regular COMMA racing and High Speed Touring driving weekend.

You can check our web page on the schedule and links pages to get more info on Hallett and High Speed Touring. You should also be able to register from there.

I usually get an electronic registration prior to the events, so I will forward it to the mailing list.

What color is your car? I sat in a Euro Focus in Lawton sometime late April, early May. I might have seen your car already. :)

hrmmm, looking at that site, that might be alittle more than I want to do right now. Qualify/Racing?

Anyway, my Focus is Competition Orange. You have to wear sunglasses to look at it, its that bright LOL.

Thanx for the reply

Make sure that you check the High Speed Touring portion. COMMA is a competition group. The High Speed Touring is run in between race and qualifying sessions.

High Speed Touring in non-competitive, not racing event to drive your street car at speed in a controlled enviroment. In other words, an excellent place to drive your car and learn what it will do in the safest enviroment possible. I highly recommend it! My Cobra goes there to play as often as I can.

I think that the Orange one is the one that I saw. Do you know if the Lawton dealer is an authorized SVT dealer (sells all SVT lines) or are they only carrying the Focus?

the lawton dealer is being certified to become a SVT dealer. How they explained it to me is that you get the focus the first year, the lightning the second, and the 3rd year the Cobra.

yep that's how it works. In the long run it should be good for us (more competition) for wanting to get a first or second SVT. However I think they should cull the herd based on customer service feedback, cause there are a lot of bad apples out there (some in my back yard)
