I just bought a 94 cobra convertible, which is the pace car edition. When i got the car home I checked the V.I.N. on the car to the V.I.N. on the certificate of authenticity. Well they didn't match. The certificate says that the car is #37 of 1000, does anybody else have a V.I.N. that doesn't match the certificate? Also the dealer that I bought the car from said that the 94 Cobra pace car edition had more horses and more torque, is this true? Does anybody have the #'s on the car? Is it just the same as a regular cobra coupe?
Thanks

Regarding the horsepower question, The pace car has the same engine as the other 1994 Cobras.
If the VIN on the certificate is not the same as the one for the car, then it's a certificate for a different vehcile.
The VIN on your certificate of authenticity should match exactly the VIN on your car. How else do you certify the vehicle?
By the VIN... Sounds like you may have some issues with the seller that you need to get resolved.
You can try contacting Ford SVT at 1-800-FORD-SVT
regarding your car's actual VIN versus the one displayed on the certificate. You should be able to find out what is going on here.
Best of luck to you, enjoy your new Cobra.
