I have some bad news. As of August 14 afterburners is CLOSED. So, we have to meet at some other location. We can do Hooters if everyone likes that or something else. How about some ideas and well decide by the first of the week.

OOOhhh, I am highly disappointed...why did they close? I wanted to wax everyone on the race track...hahahahaha.

Seriously, does anyone know why they closed afterburners? were they not getting enough buisness? What a shame!!

I hvae no idea what is in Myrtle Beach as far as meeting places go, so I can't suggest anything. Name a place, and we will come.

If there is a car show in MB on the 24th at the mall, maybe we should meet there, park our vehicles in the show and mosey on across the street to California Pizza. Or maybe we should go to one of the beachfront bars on the strip with a deck and enjoy the beach/ocean before we lose the summer. (Maybe Bumz or Ocean Annie's.) Of course, when outrageous vehicles are involved (and all SVT's are...), there is always the infamous Suck, Bang, Blow. What SVT owner doesn't love a bar with an indoor burnout pit? Anyway, I am looking forward to whatever everyone decides.

Me thinks somewhere near Broadway would be good.Hooters is right down the way.We may be on to something.But I will go where the team leads.

In the end I think there may be too many good choices of places to go in MB, a good problem. I think the question to ask is what type of event do we want to have. If you want a passive time, maybe Hooters is as good as anywhere, but if we want as active event near Broadway maybe we should go to NASCAR speed park. But in the end whatever we as a club decide is fine with me. I feel the friends are more important than the events anyway. Besides, I think I will lead an adult oriented tour around MB later that night for all interested.

i would vote for NASCAR speedpark. But theren is a truck show up at Colonial MAll that weekend also.

Sunday will be here very quickly, and we all need to come up with something. We could do Hooters for a meeting, and scramble over to the show afterwards. Just a suggestion. We need to iron this out so we have a definite location set to meet at.

Colonial Mall is on Hwy. 17 just north of Hwy 22. It is not as far as Rosa Linda's or Barefoot Landing. Beside a truck show Grand Prix racing is up this way along with a family amusement park.

Yes I can go talk to the guys at Hooters. What do I tell them. how many people are coming Sunday? Our we going to have a meeting there in the restaurant or in the parking lot? Our we meeting at 11am still? Let me Know. :confused:

Oh ask the Hooters folks if they have any promotions we can add to our goodie bags and we can feature his location on scsvtoa.-for a few wings of course...........I sure did enjoy Rosa Lindas and have even sent a few of customers that way.:allhail:
