Site members:

I have written about this in a previous post. I can hear a slight grinding sound upon clutch engagement in first and second gears (can't really tell if I happens beyond that as I am under power). It is not a big sound, but as one member said in a post--any grinding sound is usually not good.

I also talked to the shop that did the mods on my car-- three piece exhaust and airbox -- and he said that three other people have told him about the same thing.

The verdict seems to be that this might just be something with the clutch--being a competition clutch (or close to it). Then again, I wonder.

Has anyone else experienced this?-- as I am explaining it. Can anyone give me a verdict as to whether this is a problem or just a quirck of this really stiff clutch.

Thanks JT Cobra for your response to this in a previous post of mine:

"have experienced some rattle and disengagement

problems I think the plastic quadrant is too weak for

the heavier pressure plate. Going to install steeda quadrant

and firewall adjuster. rattle possibly from not complete release

of clutch. parts should be here this weekend we'll see !!!!!!!!"

...any results?

....anyone else have these issues (I wrote my post because of the fact that the guy at my mod shop said others were experiencing the same...)

I get the same thing, the dealer says that it is normal. It gets really noticeable if you install an aftermarket shifter that doesn't have a rubber bushing.
