hey guys. i installed a DC last friday and i'm very pleased w/the results. don't have dyno #'s but SOTP is very noticable. it pins 10lb. at full throttle every time. i would recommend it to anyone wanting a CAI.

FYI:

Densecharger is a brand of Cold Air Intake (CAI) made by DeMolet Motorsports (http://www.densecharger.com) and is currently one of the more popular choices.

5.0 Mag is doing a head to head show down on Cold Air Kits for the 03 Cobra. It should hit the stands in Jan Or Feb. Densecharger is one of the kits. If you buy one get the 6" filter, not the 9".;) I'm sure Densecharger will tell you the same thing!

Anybody got a sugestion for a cold air kit that "fits" and you don't have to drill holes in your car. I ordered a Densecharger but you have to drill holes to mount the cover plate. Wish they would have told me that up front!! Someone said the MAC for the 01 would fit. Wrong, the air filter will not clear the inside of the fender. Its got to have an elbow like the densecharger to point downward inside the fender area. Any sugestions?? Thanks

call densecharger and talk to jim. tell him your situation with buying the kit etc. he should send you a velcro kit to replace the screws.

Call John, Mr. DenseCharger himself at 1-866-509-7453 and let him know what you'd like.

I helped John develop the system for the '03 Cobra. An early prototype of the plate attached to the car using the same screw which held the air-filter housing in place; no holes had to be drilled. I understand that some people had a problem with the hole in the cover plate lining up properly.

Anyway, talk to John and see if he can supply you with one of these coverplates (with the tab); he'll know what your talking about. Again with this plate, you will not have to drill any holes in your car. John is a very nice guy, a true car enthusiast, and very helpful. Once you get the system installed, you'll be extremely happy with it!!!

Good Luck.

this is my first post but read the new threads when i come to work. anyway, i bought cai from upr(www.uprproducts.com) the thing fit and looks good and is on sale for christmas $185. the company claims close to 27 hp gain w/ this. i dont know if i got 27 but it sure made a diff. i say it was worth the $$. but it will take 2 people to put on but it's ez.
by the way i live pensacola fl. and i have not seen one other of these since i got mine, i kinda like that, but i was wandering if anyone near here had one. i had a ram air trans am i lemon lawed and was about to buy another one. i went and drove this car on a whim, went 1st to 2nd gear in it and knew i was going to buy it. anyway it would be cool to hear from someone (bored at work).
p.s. love the car... definitely a ford man now! no problems with it.
