Purchased a superchips microtuner 1715 from Motorhaven. They did not ship as promised but anyway I got the tuner. Plugged it in and WALLA Error Code Call Superchips. Got Return Auth and sent it back now waiting a week till they get a Lightning to test it on. Anyone else had this experience or am I just unlucky. :(

Got mine last fall; worked just fine right out of the box.

Good to hear, glad all is well. I am still waiting over 2 weeks now to get word from Superchips on what they are going to do about it. Last I heard from vendor was that said the tuner probably did not recognize my vehicle. Did you find an improvement in performance? Thanks

What yr Lightning do you have? Anything 2002 or earlier should work fine, right out of the box. 2003 may need "reprogramming," which I think means a trip back to the manufacturer, not just the dealer.

My Lightning is 2001. When I tried the programmer the first two times, the programmer read: Check connections. The 3rd and 4th times read: Error 22 call superchips. I did, they had me send it back. They have had it ever since. Still dont know what is going on.

If you followed the instructions, it should have worked fine. Did you remove the fuel pump fuse? Did you follow the instructions on the LCD screen regarding turning on-off the ignition?
Call superchips. Did youi have an RMA authorization when you returned it?

Yes, they had me run it through a couple checks. Said mail it back. Gave me a return auth number. I called them today and finally was told it was a hardware issue in other words something wrong with the programmer. They said I should be getting it back soon (their soon and my soon two different things) I said none of this is my fault you should send me a new one right away instead of waiting for you to repair this one. The guy said I will call you back.... never did. Thats where I am at...

Latest update. Superchips says there is nothing wrong with the tuner, it must be my truck. They are supposed to cut me a refund check this week......... Another satisfied customer

That's funny; should have worked-no problem, assuming you followed the instructions that came with the unit.
I guess I question your dealer. I bought mine from Mike Troyer, an approved vendor over at www.F150online.com. He's a heck of a guy and his customer service is beyond reproach. Perhaps you should give it another shot, only buy thru Mike T.

I have been dealing directly with superchips. SUPERCHIPS walked it through the steps before asking me to send it back due to a code 22 on the superchip tuner. When superchips finally gets my money back to me, I may or may not invest in a superchips product.
