Well, I went to the work to change plugs and wires on my 96 Cobra to get ready to take it to Maple Grove. It has 60,000 miles on it so I figured it should be done. Yeah. Either I don't know what I'm doing or those new wires suck. I went with the Accel 8 mm sport wires. I didn't want to go to full race wire because the car is stock but I wanted to replace the wires
The stock, original wires are going back on. The thing is a dog. It has an occasional low rpm miss and just isn't right. Yeah, it could be plugs, but I'll let you know when I put the old wires back on.

The short version is that the best I could get out of the thing at Maple was a 14.39 @ 99.23. I managed a 2.19 60 foot on a 14.41 run. The rest of the runs were a pair of 14.62's, a 14.68, and a 14.73.

I guess I shouldn't complain, I had 4 runs within a tenth (or so) so I'm consistent, right?

Later!

Was your tank full? The miss can't help either.

I ran a 13.776 with 3.27's. Then I put 3.73's in and couldn't get below 13.995. Guess what? Full tank.
I don't really like the 1/4 mile anyway, but it seems that is how alot of the members judge their cars.
I put the 3.27's back in because I'm selling.

I would recheck your wires. If OK, then the plugs.

Good luck,

Mike
