Who's going to ATCO on August 9th?

I'm preregistering for the Car Show tomorrow, before I go away for a 2 week vacation.

Who else is going?

Herb, you said you could reserve us spaces together if we do the Car Show. Does that still stand?

Am going to drive another Mod Motor Ford on my vacation, a motor home with a 6.8 liter V10!

I plan on entering the DynoMax Sponsered Class for Ford Trucks.
This will be my first time racing in a National Event. Wish me luck.
In any event, it will be an experience to race with a National Tour at our local track.

BTW, how are we gonna know where to go and what to do? Do we tell the people at the gate something or what? Are you setting up in the pit area or in the paved parking lot side?

Car show parking is in the pits. You must enter show for spots I am saving! I can not save any spots in general parking and I wouldn't want to park there anyway!

Herb, I think you are going to be mad at me. I was just told today that althrough it's tentative, I have to cover a test event from the 7th through the 13th. That means I have to work the entire weekend. I wasn't supposed to support this event but another event got pushed back a week and it's screwed up the entire event schedule. I may not have to support it depending on when the test shot for the event that got moved goes off. I won't know until next Monday but by then I think it's gonna be too late to get on a list.

It may change but as of right now, I ain't gonna be able to make it. I will know at the beginning of next week but I'm not getting my hopes up. I should beable to make the meeting on the 16th though without a problem.

Any chance of having SVTOA application materials available at the Atco show? Might be an opportunity to get some more members. Might be nice to have some kind of sign, too.

Great idea! As long as it is not raining event will go on. One year we had a brief shower but event continued after track was dry.

I am new to this form. I just bought my 03 Cobra last week. Don't even have tags on it yet but yeah I'll go to atco on the 9th. Can't race yet not enough miles on the car. Depends on the time though I might have to work till 3:00 but I could take off.

Free Dyno tests are from Castrol GTX and are on a first come basis. THe car show is $5 over gate fee and gives you a goody bag, prime parking and chance for an award. I will check on racing deal and let you know.

I checked last night and you can "Show & Go" if you pay all the proper fees at gate. This is a National Event and track time will be limited. I recommend just attending the show and hang out at the track and save running the car for another day. JMO.

The event is both days. Car Show, Dyno Testing, manufacturers midway, swap meet and some great drag racing action will be taking place both days. :cbra:

That is WRONG! Gates WILL open at 9 AM! I spoke to the Show Director and got the word from him. Flyer is incorrect about time Gate opens. I plan to have us in a good spot.
