Taylorp go to phtopost click on my gallery look to right top click on upload photos check size of photo. Start with the last pic you want on your gallery and work to the first. the size of the pic is the hard part or was for me. Hope I was able to help and not confuse you. Rachrse

rachrse,

I'm feeling really dense but I don't see an upload photo button...I'm guessing that is the problem because if I had seen the button I would have probably tried it...

Thanks for trying though...

Maybe I just set up the Gallery incorrectly.

yes I did - but its not a dumb question...I've emailed the webmaster in the hopes that he will take pity on me...

Serves me right for being so vain about my car.....:D :D :D

p.s. I will be VERY embarrassed if the "upload" button was there the entire time.

I'm sorry Taylor, but the PHOTOPOST area is for registered SVTOA members only. We provide a generous amount of image storage space for our members only, we do not provide this space for the visitors to our site. I have viewed your user info and you clearly have entered "NO" in the field which asks if you are a member or not.

You are most welcome to post a picture of your vehicle as your avatar or in your signature, but the Photopost area is only for our members. The system is functioning correctly- you do not see an upload link because there isn't one for visitors.

Join SVTOA, it's a great group of folks...! :D :D

Greg,

I got your email. thanks for the response.

However, I AM a registered and paid up member (atleast until the end of next month I think). I am not just a visitor. I only entered "no" because I wanted to register at that time and don't carry my SVTOA membership number with me....which now I regret.

I didn't realize that this whole new site (which I will like very much once we have come to an agreement) would mean starting from scratch and, yes, I did read the email sent out after the site was opened...

Thanks for the help

Pam

Pamela, there is a text field that asks if you are a current SVTOA member. It does not fill itself in, this must be done by the person who registers. I programmed the form so that in the event that the user does not answer the question, the system will prompt them for a response. It will not allow them to continue forward with the process unless/until they answer the question. Answering the question requires the user to manually type YES or NO. I setup the form in this fashion rather then provide a checkbox, to avoid having someone who has checked NO by accident being denied access. What I am trying to say is, the system I have worked on for many many hours is functioning properly. It asked you if you are a member. You indicated that you are not a member. When I was notified by my system that taylorp has created a new user account at SVTOA Forums, the notification indicated that taylorp is not a registered member. Therefore I did not perform a database verification search.
I cannot write a script to make the vBoard perform a search if the user selects YES, because the two databases are not compatible with one another. If I could, I would.

Since you indicated in your e-mail that you are in fact an SVTOA member, I then searched the database and quickly located your membership info and I have setup your account as such.

I am posting this so that anyone who may read it will perhaps have a better understanding of how the system functions.

To make a long story short, you now may upload photos and create a cool gallery. If you have any problems with the system, please bring them to my attention and I will provide personal instruction/assistance for you.

I am terribly sorry that you have had such trouble getting settled in here. I hope the new changes prove to be worth the hassle you have had to go thru.

Greg

Greg….I didn't mean to make a mountain out of a molehill...so to speak, and if all my "hassles" are as simple as this one I'll consider myself very blessed indeed. Also, don't be sorry about my having problems getting settled in to the new site...sounds like if I'd thought it through a bit more I might have made life a bit simpler.

I’m not, or did not mean to say, anything against the system and I agree with YOU 100%. You have helped tremendously. I don’t know the ins and outs of this new site – or maybe I just had a slightly premature “senior moment” . I admit to 100% guilt, stupidity and that I underestimated the system and did not realize that indicating a lack of membership would prohibit my ability to upload…

I probably should have called and not gotten myself into this pickle but email seemed the way to go.
