Need some membership help.

Since we are building a chapter website, I'm planning on having a page with a membership list and contact info. Since I don't want anyone to get upset about anything, I'd like to get emails from everyone about what info they would not want posted and what info they would want posted. Herb has some contact info but if anyone would like something more like phone numbers, addresses, personal webspaces and so on to please send me an email containing all the info you would like to see on the site.

Also, in an effort to put to rest any fears you might have about personal info being made available, you don't have to have your personal info posted. However, I'd like to see at least a name, email address and membership number from everyone so we can form a viable contact list. In addition, while we would all like to make it more difficult for people to access personal info, I'd like to remind everyone that personal info like addresses, phone numbers and web sites are public domain and just because you don't tell anyone doesn't mean they can't find it. But, again, if you don't want to have it there, you don't have to but it would be nice to have some kind of way to contact each other besides Herb and having to write down numbers and addresses at meetings.

OK all, I'm digging this thread up from the trenches again!

Since we have a few more members posting now, I'd like to start a member directory. Not only for contact info but also for identification purposes. I know some people will feel dumb walking up to someone and saying "Hey Sharppony, hows it goin?" in general public.


So, What I'd like to get from everyone is either an email or a post here with your name and some sort of contact info whether it be an email address, phone number or even mailing address, whatever you are comfortable with.

This can help out with not only what was already mentioned but it will allow members to get in touch with each other and arrange things like car pools to events or meetings for caravanning to events and such.

So pony up some info folks so we can get some lines of communication open here!
