:wtf: Anyone want to do Hooters in Charleston on August 10th?:wtf: I would like some feedback so we can ask Kevin from Columbia if he could arrange with the Hooters here, to host an event/meeting for the club. We really need to have some meetings before September rolls around.

Please reply soon, so I can find out about this.

Thanks

Count me in, as long as you have something on a Sunday, I can be there. The only problem I have with meetings is on a Saturday.

Thanks Chuck. I saw Tom G. at Bennett yesterday and he told me more about the plans for the Hooters show. Sounded great - looking forward to it.

I guess we will wait until the July 20th Hooters celebration and ask Kevin if he can help us arrange a date for the Charleston Location.

I look forward to seeing you all in Columbia. Better pray real hard for a sunny day.

Does your Hooters offer you folks a meeting room? How about any food specials? Our chapter has been meeting at the dealership in their conference room which is nice but a bit small. I'm just curious if Hooters makes any special arrangements for clubs?
We are going to a car show today so we're hoping the the rain is over. Have a great holiday!

Hooters is still new to us. We don't have any conference space that I am aware of, although that would be nice. This will be our second meet at Hooters ( Columbia SC July 20th ) and I was hopeing to do one in Charleston SC in August.

P.S. Dave,

Filers would be a great thing.....They will help! :D

The Windy City Chapter:tmb: I think it is up to the individual Hooters manager.Go in and introduce yourself with a copy of the enthusiast and your card and maybe a hat or shirt for the manager at your first meet.It worked for me .We have a very receptive Hooters. The manager has the wants for a Lightning now.
Later, Chuck

That sounds like a wonderfule Idea. I have 2 Shirts left. I could ride over in the Cobra and introduce myself. Perhaps they will be as receptive as Kevin. I am glad to hear he is interested in a lightning. Speaking of Lightning, I found a 2002 in Kentucky for $8500.00. It has been rolled, and I was considering purchasing it and swapping all the mechanicals and electricals out of my 97 f-150 ext cab. What do you think Chuck? Anyone think it is possible? Tom Do you think it would work? The only thing that won't work is the drive shaft. I'll use my stocker and get new U-Joints. Any input would be appreciated.

I think that you would end up with a great truck. Change over should be pretty straight forward, if they are the same generation. You can get a drive shaft built if you wanted to.

No doubt, if you organize a meeting at the N. Charleston Hooters, they will come!
Do it on a weekday night? The N. Charleston Hooters has bike night every Monday night. Might make for an interesting event. Always a good turn out unless it rains..
Evening meeting, say 6pm-9pm would go over well during a weekday(Tuesday or Wednesday).

Bessingers BBQ mid-week cruise would also be a great time for a meeting. Great turn out, live band, nice car show at sunset. Great food and a descent place to meet.
If your ever interested, I can arrange it..

Ok, I guess I have to hold off on Doing my F-150, Although I would love to swap motors and tranny's. Man what a sleeper that would be. I will continue to dream for now, and mabey in the future I could look into it. Mean while for those interested in looking at this 2002 Lightning for about $9000.00 here is the link:

http://www.dealsonwheels.com/search/dealerbig.cfm?Autos__ID=000063-200306-000065

If you can't click it, just copy and paste into your browser's address bar and hit enter.

Bt the way Scotty, that sounds pretty cool. I will have to look into that as well, when I go over to Hooters.

You need to set your screen setting to 1024 X 768. Once you modify your monitor settings, all will fit perfectly.

Hope this helps.

I guess we should probably take a poll of the officers. For the record - I am ok with changing our board meeting to Charleston Hooters on the 10th. Danno had already done the leg work, so if we can still do it, I am all for it. I know Chuck said he was ok with it, too.

Short version - I say we have the meeting in Charleston. I'll call Clay and see if it works for him and post back here soon.

Tom Griffin I am sure Hooters of Columbia would be ok....Right Kevin?

The flyers and reg. packages for Myrtle Beach should be recieved by recipients by then.

We could have a meeting at BBF and cruise over to Hooters for some of those wings after.

What do you guys think?
