Has anyone out there converted a SN95 to IRS? If so which year parts donor and what were the differences? I have heard there were some problems with wheel hop on early designs and don't know if that was corrected. I understand that the complete subframe bolts to existing mounts. Also what about new from the dealer? Anyone heard of complete kits from Ford?

You should be able to find one from one of the 99+ guys that's putting down some real HP and switched to solid axle.

I see them on Ebay from time to time.

You can always get one from www.stangparts.com in Winder, but they're high.

You really want one from an 03 Cobra if you are putting down any kind of HP.

I personally wouldn't want to deal with the possible headaches of the half shafts unless you really find the independant suspension that much more appealing.

And gear swaps are a lot more expensive.

Here is a link to an article about a 1997 Cobra with 1999 IRS

I have a 2003 IRS that I am currently gathering the parts to swap into my 1998 cobra
