I was reading a previous post about the BON article stating 03 Cobra production had been haulted for a quality check.

Can anyone confirm that there is a problem with the aluminum flywheel in the clutch assembly. So far 3 Cobras have been returned to the dealership near me for apparently problems with the rivets used on the flywheel becoming loose.

One of the owners of the Cobra on the lift told me he had vibrations and clutch chatter with his car and there it was. Trasmission on the floor of the shop with the owner inspecting the under belly of his car.

Could all of the other 03 Cobra owners writing about vibrations from their wheels have a transmission problem instead?

Can anyone clear the air here?:wtf:

After comming home tonight I might have to agree with you. I had mine checked ticking noise and clunking, "dealer checked the torque on trans bolts and driveshaft and found nothing" but I do have some vibration at 50-60. I was in 4th up to 110mph and coasted to a stop, smelled burning clutch bad, and couldn't get into 1st gear. Had to start in 2nd. Eventually got into 1st. I'm calling SVT tomorrow, and dealer.

Let me tell you, Im in Los Angeles and I have taken my car in four times for trans and clutch problems. At about the 2,500 marker the rivets on my clutch had popped out and were s****ing the flywheel. They tried to blame me and said they would never fix it again. Here is the truth for all of us 03 Cobra owners, I think we better get ready for a pile of recall letters. Its the first ear there are bound to be some problems.

If the dealership is giving you grief, take it to another SVT certified dealer. Is it SVT telling you that they will not fix it again? Did you call the 1-800#?

Well hopefully you don't feel too bad now you know that other 03's are having a problem and it is not how you drive your Cobra
