Does anyone else have this problem? I have noticed a clicking sound from the rear driver tire area (the sound is almost like a u-joint going bad), but I have been reading other boards, and a lot of the 99-01 Cobras all have a clicking sound. It comes and goes. I think I might have narrowed down the problem, but I would like bring my car into Packey Webb. I have a 75k warranty, but I also added a s/c, and Ford can say that due to excess horse power they are not going to cover it. Any ideas? Drivability is great, though...

I've never noticed any sounds like you are describing. Of course with a convertible it's hard to hear minor sounds. It could be many things, the traction control involves a contraption that looks like a giant watch gear, something could be rubbing on that under certain loads. THe real concern is a failing half shaft. A guy named Rick Lynch has a web site and shows how to inspect your shafts. Or have Packey Webb guys do it. Unless your running slicks or large rear tires they shouldn't worry about the S/C. Of course I heard of dealers not honoring warranties because of missed oil changes!
Keep us posted.;)

I think I have the same noise in my 03. I can here it most noiticbly when starting from a stop, sounds almost like a aluminum can, oil canning, buckling.
Could be the half shalft U-Joints. My car is completely stock.

Try posting at one of the tech forums. Somebody there is sure to have had the same problem.;)
