My son graduated from H.S. last week. His car was the family car, a 2001 Aztek, thats right the ugly one, but it was a great pit crew car. Anyhow, we decided he should have a new car with full warranty. He had his choice of several small 4 door cars with some cargo capacity.
He chose a:
5 DOOR SONIC BLUE SVT FOCUS. :tmb:
He already wants to get clear tail lights, coil overs, exhaust and intake mods.
I don't know where he gets these ideas from.
He will probably be on the forums soon, who knows what weird user name he will use, I'll try to keep him under control, but he is 18.:spank:
Thanks to PONEYTRADER and the folks at Packey Webb for a great deal. Ford also has a 6 year 100,000 mile full warranty for a little over $600. Sounded like a good deal for an 18 year old. :allhail:

Thank you for the business, Dagwood. We're glad we were able to help Dan's dream come true. You can have him call SVTOA in another day or two so they know he's ready to join. The car has been registered as sold to him with Ford.
We trust he will meet all of the right kind of "fast friends. :)

OK. He's had the car two days and has put over 100 miles on it and he only lives one mile from work. I guess he's having fun.:spinem:

 I was 18 once also, only not as recent as you:rolleyes: He's tame compared to me.:spinem:

Not sure but maybe the Gingerman event is September.
I've been reading the Focus forum. Intesting forums. Many Focus drivers have a list of problems with the cars but still love them. Are we all brainwashed.:wtf:
DONT MISS JAY LENO TONIGHT. FORD IS SPONSORING THE SHOW AND JAY PROMISED SOME SPECIAL TEST DRIVE. GT-40 MAYBE? :bna

Way to go Dagwood! My youngest son replaced his Mazda ( or some other ricer ) with a Probe GTS. One of the coolest Probes to ever go through Packey Webb. It is black with white stripes. He is a Ford boy now but we had to give him the car to get him to change.
I look forward to more young blood in the group.

I think your right. However I would like to keep the warranty active. Especially since I paid extra for it.
Exhaust and cold air pipe are probably the most performance mods. :spinem:
Nos? cough, cough, don't know what that is? Focus elves must have put it on while we were sleeping?

If it has to go in for service just put a blanket over the turbo and write "do not look under here". It could work.;)
Some dealers are more mod friendly than others. I'd chip and pully my '03 Cobra if I knew PW wouldnt mind. So far no ones hurt thiers by doing it and I'd just be lookng for and extra 50rwhp which can be done very safely.

Ive seen him driving it around here in st charles, looks nice.!
I would go with a catback first then plugs and wires. The stock airbox with a KnN is going to give the best performance!
But if you must dress it up with a CAI TRY
CTA Motorsports (www.ctamotorsports.com)
Optimizing the TB will help, and he could try a bigger meter to go along with a CAI.
