engine cutoff

The last couple of weeks the engine in my 03 Cobra shuts off for a split second and restarts in first and second gear when under hard acceleration. I had only experienced something similar to this once before when the rear wheels lost traction on a wet surface and the rpm's hit 6500 and the gas shut off.
Has anyone had any similar problems?
I have modified the exhaust with Magna-flow cat backs and have a K&N air filter.

Turn the track control off and see if it shuts off. My 03 is very sensitive to the track control and will shut down if the front wheels are turned deep and I accelerate at the same time. So now I turn the track control off as soon as I start the engine. Rachrse

when my car was about a week old, i experienced a shut down at about 105 mph in 4th gear. i let off for a while and everything came back up. service foreman said if the traction control was on and i hit a bump it could have caused the wheel spin to 6500 rpm. i've always turned traction control off since then and no problems.
