I understand that this meeting has been cancelled. Is this correct? If so, I see that some of you still want to get together in June? Any suggestions? Someone suggested we attend the June 7 autoX at the Columbia fairgrounds as a club. I thought maybe we could venture to one of the local dragstrips together for a test and tune evening one weekend.

OK, If the June 7th meet is off, that will be fine. My new Tires will be in on the 6th and I can have them installed on Saturday. I'll catch up with everyone for July.

We still have Hooters of Columbia for June 7th afternoon if anyone is interested.I will wait a few days before cancelling. What strip do you like? I think Orangeburg runs Thursday nights. There is a track in Elgin that runs Sat afternoons I think.

Patch and I should be able to come Sat. June 7. Let me know more about the autox. There any bed and breakfast type places around to spend the night?

Jim, I will bring poster Saturday but I think that you may already have it.
See you all soon.
Kim:)

I don't have particulars on auto x.They have a website for scca I saw last year somewhere. The closest thing to Bed and Breakfast is in Charleston, however I think the Claussens Inn is pretty neat and right around the corner from my shop. I also like the Embassy Suites at Greystone nevermind it is by BBF. President Bush always stays at the Sheraton but I am not crazy about it.It sounds like we have at least 5 so far coming. Thanks, Chuck:p

We need to have an e-mail board meeting. We are getting down to the wire for our myrtle beach event, and we have to discuss where we are going to get the funding for plaques, trophies, dash plaques etc....for the show and shine, autocross, and the drag racing. We only have a few months, and the way we all manage to meet on a regular basis ( or lack there of ) is going to kill us. I don't want to wait till the last minute to try to coordinate this show and shine we are responible for. It will be a flop if we don't do something soon :), Anyway, we need to get on the ball, and I have heard nothing from anyone about the event, except that SVTOA is sponsoring the Drag Race. OK, I said my piece. Lets get it going folks. Thanks

Danno

I do not know if you have seen the new Enthusiast, but we are on the back cover.
I will be glad to donate time and materials for making wooden plaques, trophies bases, or whatever.
Has Clay gotten the site for the Autox?

I am only sure of one thing. We have the Rockingham track.I am not sure about much else.
We ended up with about a dozen or so at Hooters despite the on and off drizzle
We had a new member that seemed to have won the Auto X in his SVT Focus.

D. won the burn out contest .
I had a strong second.
Our waitress,Melanie was the winner of the Hooters regional Bikini contest, I hope she wins the world title in 'Vegas.

Thanks to Kevin, manager of Hooters for the great door prizes!

Oh, and Congrats to Ray Tanner and the MIGHTY GAME****S on their win.I think they will win the World Series! Third time is the charm.

Did you know you cant say ****S on this site? Try it.Whats up Greg?

Sorry to have missed the Hooter's. Glad to hear that it was a fairly good turn out. Would have like to meet the guy with the SVTF. Might encourage Patch to try it. Going to Summit Point June 21 & 22, plus a day on either side of it, to do my first HPDE with NASA. Let you all know how it went after we get back.:D
