The 03 is on order. I had a LoJack on the 97. Any recommendations for the new one? I'm just not sure what is the best in theft prevention?
Did anyone get their new one rust proofed? I'm thinking long term and I may be overly sensitive since I'm filling rust holes on my 65 but did anyone get the rust proofing?
Thanks for your ideas. I know this is not a shy group.

I don't think rust proofing is an issue anymore. Do you even drive your car in the winter?
At any rate. We:cool: remember when cars rusted out. The newer cars are built better and must meet federal regulations on body panels rusting. I had a 90 Chevy Caprice (G car) it had rust on every body panel in 5 years. I then had a 91 Caprice, also a G car, it never did rust and I had it until 99. They changed the manufacturing of the cars. Long story short ( to late ) I wouldnt worry about rust.
Theft. I just met with a LOJACK rep last week. LOJACK is alive and well in the Chicago area, and they do get stolen cars back. Other companies who chase your stolen car with GPS etc have dropped out of the market. However LOJACK does nothing to prevent the theft. I would get an additional alarm system and LOJACK. ALso have your glass etched with your vin numbers. THis makes the car difficult to "fence" and most pro's won't want it. :spank:
I would start with the additional alarms, motion etc
Etch windows,
Then if you really want everything get the LOJACK.

You big tease! What is the date?? Don't make me come and make a scene in your show room!
There is too much room in my garage right now. Though it is easier to work on the other cars.
Oh please do tell...

so do you believe in Monday cars? according to the most recent information, yours will be built on June 9th. of course it's subject to change.
as for rust, well any dealer can sell you a "package" but as Dagwood says, will this car ever see winter?
as for LoJack? it might be good. My son wished he'd done it to the '99 Acura GSR that disappeared out of his driveway.
