I think it just had to happen for reason out of Robs control. The club is going to use Gotera as our new performance shop sponsor.

Bonestock,
First, what do you consider fast? What was the GT running? And what year GT was it? i.e. 4.6l Gt or old 5.0l. There are many guys in the club with GT's that I am sure could give you some advise. Your best bet would be to come to an event sometime and talk with a few different people to see what would work best for you. There are many different ways to make a car go fast, it just depends on what you want out of the car to get it there.

I have a 4.6 GT, and I'm trying to get it in the 12's on MOTOR! Everybody says no way not on that little 281! (BUT THERE WORNG) I'm almost there now. Anyways, any little help will help.
later,

If you are looking to get it there on motor, you will need to start with quite a bit of gear. You should start with at least a 4.10 gear or 4.30. Also use slicks. At the very least a Mickey Thompson E.T. Street. That alone will drop your time substantially. What have you done to the car so far?

What's going on? I think that would be a good way to go with the 410's or 430's gear, but I think that would be a bit to much for the GT's...I'm going to ship my heads off andersonfordmotorsport.com to be ported and polished stage 3. I have already ordered a reinhart racing intake manifold for it. So, this will put me into the mid 12's on motor. Then I'm going to put a charger on it. The moral of the story is I'm going to make it a sleeper.

The GT's are such and UNDER DOG, but not to much longer!

Running a 12 on motor alone is possible. It will take alot to do but it is possible. Good heads is a must , the intake will add a little but not what they claim.............John
