Went to 3.73 gears. Changed the speedometer gear but am still about 10% off. How did you all out there address this:confused:

You must have put in the wrong speedo gear.
You need Steeda's part number 375-C4OZ-17271-A. It is the red gear. Costs $9.95.
If your rear tires aren't stock diameter that will also affect your speedo.

With stock 245/45-ZR17 tires a 21 tooth speedo gear should get you very close to spot on accuracy.

I had an Abbot Electronic Ratio Adjuster installed with my 3.90s. Can adjust it if I change gearing. But my speedo gyrates wildly above 110 (on the track). Haven't descovered if it's the ERA or bad speedo head.

Got my red 21 tooth gear from my local Ford dealer - $8...

I'm gonna do a little road trip with my GPS to find out how accurate the 21 tooth is with the 3.73's. That's the one that Ford says is required.

Doesn't Dallas Mustang sell a tuner specifically for this for 96+ Mustangs? I believe I saw it on their site for $99.
