Well I made a guy a offer on a set of '01 Cobra polished wheels for my '97 and it looks like I'll be picking them up after work. My son thinks my stock '97 wheels would look great on my '84, but that would require a 5-lug conversion which is about $600. The '84 stock brakes are in need of some work anyway, so some money needs to be spent there anyway.

What do you guys think?
Any photoshop users out there?

Larry, I've got some Roush Argent wheels I'm selling. But they're 18's, are you sticking with the 17's?

Yeah, I'm sticking with 17"s cause I lowered the Cobra a 1-3/4" up front and a 1-1/2" on the back. I really believe I'll have a problem with the front tires rubbing on the wheel wells when I turn into parking spots with 18"s. Now the '84 has 14"s (or the metric equalivent) on it now, the 17"s are gonna prolly give it a slammed appearance:rolleyes:

Thanks anyway,
Larry

I think you can get changed over for alot less than $600..

Check out Matt's page (http://svo73mm.cjb.net/)

Alot of good info in there..

I am in the middle of 5-lug changeover (SVO front and rear disc) on my '89 5.0 and that page is full of information!

Good Luck!

Thanks, lots of good info on that site.

I had to take a pass on the polished '01 cobra wheels I was going to buy. The scumbag that was selling them tried to pull a fast one and posted pics of wheels off another car, the ones he had for sale had curb rash on two wheels and all four looked like they were scrubbed with a SOS pad which ruined the clear coat on them.

I'll look for used ones for a little while longer, if I don't find anything I'll just order new ones from Diversified.
