a warning from all of us with "superchargers"...

practice getting all of that horsepower to the ground first .....

sheesh .....

its fun spinning your tires, but not when your trying to pass up the guy next to you......

My thing now is not to panic when they jump out ahead of me. I get her into first, let the tires roll for a split second and then let that supercharger "lose"....

Between that and the Bridgestone S02's --
so far, so good !!

On the way home from Hooters the other night I got next to an SS Camero who was getting froggy. I thought I would let him get next to me and then smoke him. Then I noticed he had a set of gages glowing on his windshield post; yes boost gage. Well we played but never had an open road to really go.... You just never know who your up against until it happens. Alway fun though.

to add to that -- yesterday I was driving my '00 SVT Contour --
a nice gentlemen in a beautiful Lincoln kept trying to pass me. Finally we got up to a light next to each other. I smoked him.
Not just once mind you -- but four times!!!

You would think after the second time that he would be embarrassed and back off....

I think he couldn't believe that this lowly little Contour could smoke him like that.... in his $30 - $40K (??) Lincoln......
poor guy -
I think I ruined his day...

well, not with my Contour...

like I mentioned,
I'm smart enough to know when to try and when not to try.....

My Contour has only been beaten "once" and that was by a stupid little rice car that was supercharged. However - I do not feel that I lost because -
I stayed right with him and he probably spent tons of money on his "extra" horsepower.

He won by a nose, but I won cuz I'm stock and my Contour poured its little heart out for me.... :tmb:


I do not humiliate my Contour by trying to race it against something that I know is dominant.
