Hey all,

I just had the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs installed on my
otherwise stock suspension '01 Cobra. WOW!
The Cobra looks great. Lowered it approx. 1 3/8" all four
corners. Bell Tire was able to re-align the front and rears
to OEM specs without adding caster camber plates.

I had the springs installed for looks but what a handling
difference. The ride doesn't feel any harsher on paved
roads. The nose dive has been reduced considerably
the body roll in turns is very minor. Its like driving the Wild
Mouse ride at the country fair.

I love these springs. I anticipate replacing the OEM shocks
when they wear out.

That's what I know.

Da Lumpydog.

I was in between those or Steeda, but you bent me the Eibach way. Where did you order them, and do you have any pics?

Well I am going to throw a screw in the works. I had the Eibachs on my 99 with Tokiko 5 way Illuminas in the back(custom) and 5way Tokiko Drag Struts up front. The ride was much stiffer that stock and I had problems dragging my X-Pipe on speed bumps. I took them out and installed a set of Steeda Sports and it is about 1/2 inch higher than the Eibachs. I don't have as much trouble with speed bumps. The ride is better than stock for smoothness. I had it out on the road course with an 03 Cobra behind me and Ron said I had very little roll in the turns as compared to the Cobra in front of me with a set of Eibachs.

I would vote for the Steeda's hands down.

If you want a set of Eibachs, I have a set I will make you a deal on. They were just too stiff for my taste

How's the nose dive on Steeda's? And does anyone know the spring rates on the Steeda and Eibach springs?

Lumpydog- you got Pro Kit, I wonder how the sportline would compare to the Steeda that 99-venom has?

Just curious as to how many miles on the springs. I am not a road course guy I am more of a quarter mile guy, so I was wondering if those springs are ok for more of a weekend cruise, and occasional track time?

They have about 3000 miles on them. Theye were in for about a year, but it is not my daily driver. If you want em I'll let you have em for $100 + shipping. That should come out to around $145.
The Eibachs did have better wheel hop correction than the Steeda's, but I like the smooth ride better. I guess I am just getting to ba an old phart :D .

If you look at my website (see sig) the pictures were taken with the Eibachs installed so you can see the stance of the car with the Eibachs.

I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up! :bna

I will let you know later. One last question. Do you know how hard it was to install with the IRS? Car looks good at that stance...

I purchased the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs from Belle Tire then had
them install the springs and align both front and rear. A little
pricey at $460 out the door.

I'll try to post a pic this weekend if the Michigan weather holds
out. I have a moderately steep curb at the end of my driveway
and I don't bottom out going over it. One minor s**** going
through some uneven construction pavement is the only
downside so far.

As for the shocks, the Eibach website, www.eibach.com, states
that the springsare designed to work with the OEM shocks but
that the factory shocks will wear out faster. I plan on upgrading when my stock shocks die.

I really like the look and feel of the Eibach springs. Then again
I can only compare them to the OEM springs.

Later

I have the Eibachs too, dealer installed. The rear wheel alignment necessitated removing the tires, aligning and then putting the tires back on. I have 275s.

Hopefully, I am picking up my car today. Got a s/c installed, and the way this wacky holiday week is going I will send you your money tomorrow, and yes, I did get your PM.
Thanx for everything...
