I was juts kidding around -- this site isn;t so bad, it's just different from the old one, and we are all averse to change (and love to complain!).
This new site doesn't seem as popular as the old one as well. I miss the backpile of threads as well - I used to like cruising through them and reading about all the interesting things posted.
Anyway, I guess it will take some getting used to....:tmb:

Huh? Doesn't seem as popular? It is WAY more popular based on the number of posts since it came up, and it WORKS! Give it time...it will grow on you. ;) :D

Yea, I'm not sure about that comment either...
There is a LOT more activity on this board then the old one. Like Ken said, give it time. We have had over 300 members register here in a little over a week.

Alright, let me clarify (again), I don;t dislike the site, I just found it weird at first. I am with Neil Berry in that I like the old thread count and backdated messages.
This site seems fine, I guess I didn't take into account that it is only a week old (I was comparing it to my old site).
Anyway, please don't string me up and don't hold a grudge....next time I will be more careful when I post a thread.

Hey...nobody is lynching anybody. Just wondered about the post is all. As one of the people who absolutely hated the old board, I was quite happy to see them change to real BBS software! I am pretty active on other boards, and they all run this software, so it was easy for me. I guess if you're new to it, it can be pretty overwhelming.
There is a f.a.q. button located above the messages on the right hand side. That would be a good place to start. You'll soon be using the board like a pro. (you already found the cool emoticons ;) ) The biggest improvement though is that the software works. The old board had a LOT of issues that could not be fixed. I had numerous posts that never made it to the light of day, the last read didn't work half the time, it was clunky, you couldn't post pictures or other information easily and it was rather plain Jane. Ever notice how many times certain threads were started because it was so hard to search through the old ones to find what you were looking for? Here your picture gallery is attached to your name, so you can upload pictures once if you want folks to see them. Mail or a Private Message, or even AIM or other instant messaging is just one click away. The mail feature was REALLY dorked on the old board...sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. It all depended on how you held your mouth when you hit the enter key. ;) The search feature here works to! That means if you're looking for a message you know you saw about, say 2001 Cobra wheels, you can go to the search button and type in 2001 Cobra wheels and actually FIND the message!
So, from someone who is active on the web, as I said earlier... give it some time and you'll love it! :tmb: :bna :cool: :bna

the old threads should be moved or archived somehow so that they can be searched.
